Miss Willey's Craft Club

Each week, I will be updating this page with a new craft activity to try during your time at home. These will mainly be things you can do using items you will already have at home. Happy crafting!

Week 6 (last week of craft club!)

This week, have a go at making a mini banjo using a jar lid. I hope you have enjoyed making some things at home!

Week 5: Paper Jellyfish

Why not try and make a jellyfish decoration for your room?

  • Get a paper plate and paint it your favourite colour! You could use glow in the dark paint (if available!) for both the plate and the wool to make them come to life, even at night!
  • Get some wool or string and cut lots of large pieces (this can be any colour or you can paint the wool yourself)
  • Glue the ends of the yarn to the bottom of the paper plate
  • Make a small hole at the top of the plate and weave through a plain piece of wool (not glow in the dark painted) – tie a knot where you think the hole would be big enough to hang on something

Week 4: Sock Bunnies

Using an old sock, can you make a sock bunny? Make sure you ask an adult if you can use the sock first! Watch the video below for instructions.

You could use your sock bunny as a doorstop!
Emma in Maple class made two lovely sock bunnies!

Week 3: Frog Fly-Catching Toy

Using the instructions below, can you make this recycled toy?

Week 2: Heart Weaving

Follow the instructions on the website below to create a weaved heart basket.

The template is saved below.

Week 1: Paper Beads

Using the video below, see if you can make some paper beads. Miss Willey's example is below.

I made my beads using magazines and nail polish.

Your Crafts

Some people have been busy trying out their own craft activities at home. Well done!
