Year 4/5 - Elm

Weekly update

Friday, July 19th, 2019.

We are incredibly proud of our Year 4/5 classes this year, and we have had a wonderful time learning together. Thank you, families, for all of your support and goodwill through the year. There are of course many activities that you could undertake during the summer holiday that will help consolidate prior learning and help to scaffold your child's progress in the year ahead. Here are a few ideas...

  • Read everyday. Visit the local library for their reading challenge.
  • Play board games.
  • Go for a walk / cycle together
  • Go rock-pooling at low tide
  • Build a bug hotel for your garden space
  • Share old photographs
  • Help with shopping - add up the contents of a basket/trolley
  • Prepare a meal together
  • Go for a picnic
  • Junk modelling
  • Visit relatives
  • Have friends over to play
  • Learn a song or poem by heart
  • Enjoy some time together

Whatever you get up to, we hope you have a lovely time and look forward to hearing all about it!
