'The Friends'

We have an active Friends Association. Their aim is to foster a good understanding between parents and school and to arrange various events for fund raising.

Officers are Claire Colwill as Chair, Lisa Tame as secretary and Lisa Mills as treasurer.

We hope you will want to be involved in some way.

Most of you may not know that FOSPS (Friends of Stratton Primary School) is a registered charity raising money for our school. It is run by a group of mums and friends of the school. The money is used in lots of different ways to benefit the children.

As a committee we have decided to shorten our name slightly to "The Friends" we have had numerous comments about people not actually knowing what FOSPS is, or what it stands for, and also many getting confused with FoBSP (Friends of Bude Sea Pool) we also now have our own Facebook page here where you will find more information. Please like and share our page.

Uniform Exchange.

We have gathered a selection of good quality uniform clothing to form the basis of a Uniform Exchange which is available in the entrance foyer of the new building. If you need uniform, you can access this yourself before and after school.  It is designed so parents can access it and take what they need. There is a pot for cash donations to FOSPS and a box for donations of uniform for sorting.   We hope that parents will find this useful and will be happy to donate items of uniform which are still in a good condition. If you have any questions, please see Jacky Sillifant or Penny Simpson.

The Friends Summer Fete.

The school summer fete will be on Saturday 25th June from 11am – 2pm with an Alice in Wonderland theme! Feel free to dress up and enjoy the fun activities which include a BBQ.  There will be a sign up sheet available for volunteer helpers for the school fete so please let the office know if you can help.  We are also still on the look out for Tombola prizes. If you can bring something in to class by Wednesday 22nd June, that would be much appreciated.
