Welcome

Headteacher's Welcome to Stratton Primary School

I would like to welcome you to our school website: I hope you find it informative and useful.  The information should provide parents, pupils and the local community with an insight into our busy, friendly and happy school.

We have 380 pupils who currently attend our two form entry school - we currently have spaces in some year groups.  Children come from around 8 pre-school settings and from a wide catchment.  We are a fully inclusive school with a good reputation for supporting children with special needs.

Our school is one of the biggest in Cornwall County.  We have two school halls (with a climbing wall),  a well equipped cookery suite, two beautiful and inviting libraries and a range of small teaching rooms as well as our main classrooms which all have a small outdoor area attached to them. We are lucky to have magnificent, extensive grounds including several areas of woodland with a large pond area, a large playing field, a multi-purpose all weather cycling track, several level playgrounds, a trim trail and we host the Cornwall Grows Community Farm (with chickens!).

Our school vision is: 'successful learning in a happy environment' which is underpinned by four core values: aspiration, compassion, independence and respect.  Our curriculum and provision aims to build good citizens of the future and we have an incredibly supportive governing body.

Please contact the school if you would like to visit us - prospective or present families are welcome.

Yours sincerely,

Frances Glasby
