The school’s car park is not large enough to cope with the numbers of cars that regularly use it. This is frustrating for those dropping off or collecting their children, but it’s also potentially dangerous for all of us, children and adults, and it can also be very disruptive to our neighbours when parents park in the surrounding roads. We’ve produced this guide to clarify the options that are available to you, in the hope that we can reduce the strain on the school car park by making more use of the other options.
Of course, we’d prefer that as many people as possible walk between home and school. It’s healthy, it’s free and it helps to keep our car park calm!
For those who live too far away to walk, Bude Leisure Centre have very kindly allow Stratton School parents to use their car park at the beginning and end of the school day for park and stride.
Our neighbours the Gregson Centre very kindly allow our parents to use their car park at the beginning and end of the school day. The entrance is in the corner of our car park.
If you don’t feel that any of the previous three options are suitable for you, please do still feel welcome to use the school’s car park. Just a quick reminder of the traffic rules:
NB: No parking outside of the marked bays:
