Year 1/2 weekly update – Friday 6th March
What a lovely week with a bit of sunshine! This week we have been practising for our class assemblies, and the children have been working hard to remember their lines. In our history this week, we learnt all about St.Piran and how he is remembered throughout different towns in Cornwall. On Thursday, we celebrated World Book Day. We read the Cornish book ‘The Mousehole Cat’ and completed a set of activities linked to this. The children all looked fantastic in their outfits and had a great day.
Please see the dates below for our class assemblies next week. Please arrive for a prompt 9:00 start.
Dates for your diary:
Tuesday 10th March – Maple class assembly
Wednesday 11th March – Pine class assembly
Thursday 12th March – Willow class assembly
Thursday 2nd April – Break up for Easter holidays
Athlete visit Tuesday 17th March - We have Ariyanna McGee, a British athlete, coming to visit our school to talk about her career and do a small workshop with as many classes as possible. Sponsorship forms were handed to the children to help raise money to support this event and raise money for school PE resources. These need to be returned with any donations by Tuesday 10th March. Additionally, you can donation some money towards it here:
