Year 1/2 weekly update – Friday 22nd May
Year 1 PSC:
Throughout the week beginning 8th June, the Year 1 children will take part in a the statutory Phonics Screening Check. They will complete this check individually with Miss Puckey. The check consists of a mixture of real words and alien words to assess the children's phonics knowledge. You will find out later in the term if your child has passed. If they haven't, they will retake the check in Year 2.
If you have a Year 2 child who didn't pass last year, they will also be completing the check.
Year 2 SATs
This week the Year 2 children have been completing their SATs papers. They have worked very hard and had a fantastic go at everything. Well done Year 2!

Homework:
Maths – Please complete NumBots for 5 minutes, 3 times each week. Year 2 can now move onto Times Table Rock Stars. The login for this is the same as their NumBots login.
Reading - Please read at home 5 times each week and record this in your reading log. Reading logs will be checked every Friday.
Spellings – Please play Little Birds spelling 3 times a week. Click on the following link to take you to the game https://ictgames.com/littleBirdSpelling/
Along the top where it says ‘Year’, select number 1 for Year 1 or 2 for Year 2. Please return to the light blue house to practice these words this week.
