Year 1 & 2: Willow, Maple, Pine

Year 1/2 weekly update – Friday 27th March

This week the children have enjoyed reading the book Paper Dolls and completing work related to this. They have even worked hard to create their very own paper doll train! In PE, they have been practising their athletic skills and in RE we have been looking at the Easter story and outlining the days leading up to Easter Sunday.

 

RHS Rosemoor:

On Friday 1st May, Year 1/2 will be attending RHS Rosemoor on a school trip. This trip is now available on the app to pay for. Willow and Maple are still also still looking for parental volunteers. If you are able to help support on this trip, please can you contact your child’s class teacher.

Dates for your diary:

Thursday 2nd April – Break up for Easter holidays

Friday 1st May - Rosemoor Gardens Trip (More information to follow soon)

 

Homework:

Maths – Please complete NumBots for 5 minutes, 3 times each week. Year 2 can now move onto Times Table Rock Stars. The login for this is the same of their NumBots login.

Reading - Please read at home 5 times each week and record this in your reading log. Reading logs will be checked every Friday.

Spellings – Please play Little Birds spelling 3 times a week. Click on the following link to take you to the game https://ictgames.com/littleBirdSpelling/

Along the top where it says ‘Year’, select number 1 for Year 1 or 2 for Year 2. Please return to the light green house to practice these words this week.
